Tekla Corporation Stock Exchange Release January 25, 2012 at 9 a.m. Exemption from the Regular Duty of Disclosure The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority has granted upon the application of Tekla Corporation ("Tekla") an exemption from the duty to publish financial statements, the report of the Board of Directors, the financial statements bulletin, and the annual summary from the year 2011. An exemption has also been granted from the duty to publish an interim report from the period January 1 to March 31, 2012. In its decision, the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority has taken into account, among other things, the fact that in the redemption proceedings under Chapter 18 of the Finnish Companies Act the redemption price is determined based on the fair price of the share before the initiation of the arbitral proceedings, and that Tekla has published an interim report covering the first nine months of the accounting period that started on January 1, 2011, during which time the arbitral proceedings became pending. Since the arbitral proceedings were initiated during the said period, the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority has determined that the exemption concerning subsequent reporting periods does not jeopardize the position of the investors.
