On the heels of a college-wide rebranding campaign that was unveiled in September 2011, the college has put together a contest to refresh and modernize the Cougar Athletics logo. The current logo features a menacing, detailed cougar head superimposed on a triangle, www.columbiacougars.com/. The college is looking to simplify the logo and make it more production-friendly.
In the fall of 2011, Columbia College announced the addition of five new sports to its athletic department: men's and women's cross-country, men's and women's golf and women's soccer. The college already has teams competing in men's and women's basketball, men's soccer, women's volleyball and softball.
Columbia College is an NAIA powerhouse. In the past 18 years, the Cougars have been to 55 NAIA National Championship Tournaments, winning three national titles and placing in the top five on 16 occasions.
