CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - Feb 14, 2012) - Dollar Bank's latest expansion in Northeast Ohio is the opening of its Beachwood Branch located on Chagrin Boulevard just off of I-271. Dollar Bank purchased the 30,000 square foot, three-story office building in October, 2010 and has spent over a year making extensive renovations to the structure, which was formerly known as the Ohio Savings Building and is now called the Dollar Bank Building.
"For more than a dozen years, we have been searching for a suitable location in the Chagrin Boulevard area," said Andrew Devonshire, President of Dollar Bank, Ohio. "As we have watched our customer base continue to grow in this area over the years," he added, "we wanted to respond by providing a convenient, full-service banking center that can meet all the banking needs of the residents and businesses in Beachwood, Woodmere, and surrounding east side communities.
"I am very excited about this opening," explained Devonshire. "We have made extensive improvements to the building and our banking facilities. The new office includes a traditional full-service branch and a Private Banking Center which caters to the banking needs of high net worth individuals."
The new facility features safe deposit boxes, two drive-thru lanes, drive-up and walk-up ATMs, and a business banking night depository. Ample parking and an entrance to the Private Banking Center have been added to the back of the building as part of the renovation.
Customers can enter the retail branch facility through the front or back doors of the Dollar Bank Building, and will be welcomed by branch manager, Karen Shoemaker and her staff. After entering the branch lobby, visitors will notice flat-screen information centers, cleanly displayed product information, and five teller windows. The Private Banking Center, managed by Rick Ritley, offers a facility where individuals can meet with their private banker and members of their financial team in an elegant business setting.
A unique feature of the new Beachwood office is the two-sided LED message center located atop a 50 foot pole on the west side of the building, visible from both I-271 and Chagrin Blvd. The LED is full color with a view area of 11 feet by 23 feet on each side. These screens will only be used by Dollar Bank for our banking service messages and product advertising. The screens can also be used for community messages and for security messages such as Amber Alerts.
The Beachwood branch brings to 29 the number of offices Dollar Bank operates throughout Northeast Ohio.
With assets of over $6.2 billion, Dollar Bank is the largest independent mutual bank in the United States, employing close to 1,200 people in Northeast Ohio and southwestern Pennsylvania.
