(RMHC®), a nonprofit that creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children around the world, recently announced the appointment of Alex C. Rodriguez and Michael D. Richard to its Board of Directors, effective January 2012.
Alex C. Rodriguez is a McDonald's® Owner/Operator and a passionate supporter of RMHC. He currently serves as the chairman of the local RMHC Chapter in South Florida and is an active supporter of the RMHC®/HACER® Scholarship program. Through Rodriguez's leadership over the past 20 years, RMHC of South Florida has provided care for over 22,000 families in need. Alex was recently honored by the Charity with the Gerry Newman McTLC Award of Excellence for his passion, commitment to and tireless work with RMHC of South Florida.

Michael D. Richard joined McDonald's Corporation in 1987 as a director of Financial Accounting and Reporting. Recently retired from McDonald's, Richard also served as the RMHC Treasurer. Prior to his retirement, he held numerous accounting and treasury positions. He was named treasurer of McDonald's in October 1999 and promoted to senior vice president later that year. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society, where he has served as a member of the Accounting Principles Committee and as a council member for CPAs for the Public Interest.
"Michael's financial expertise and level of critical thinking has helped RMHC previously in the stewardship and development of our organization as we expand to provide stability and vital resources to children and families," said Coyne.
