Heartland Coalition Appoints Zolt Szorenyi as Nevada Development Manager for Housing Division

Leading Clark County and Southern Nevada Real Estate Reseller to Serve on Board of Advisors for Heartland Sustainable Housing

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 22, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heartland Coalition today announced the appointment of Zolt Szorenyi of Lenders Clearing House Las Vegas as Nevada Development Manager for the Heartland Sustainable Housing division and as a member of its Board of Advisors.

Heartland Sustainable Housing (www.heartlandsustainablehousing.org) is a San Diego based dba of the non-profit 501(c)(3) Heartland Coalition that works with private and institutional partners to provide viable purchase opportunities for low to moderate income homebuyers.

The Heartland Sustainable Housing program has three primary goals:

  • First, to stabilize distressed communities by purchasing REO properties that require extensive renovation.
  • Second, to provide hands-on Green Job Training for military veterans and high-risk youth apprentices to learn valuable skills and to work on HSH projects.
  • Third, to fulfill the HSH mission of community stabilization by helping low to moderate income families purchase the homes that it renovates.

"Each completed project represents a step towards our goal of community stabilization," states Alan Cassell, Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management for Heartland Sustainable Housing and Chairman of the Heartland Coalition Finance Committee.

"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Zolt Szorenyi. He shares in our goals of improving the communities that we serve and in the sustainability of Las Vegas neighborhoods," he adds.

Zolt Szorenyi of Lenders Clearing House Las Vegas (www.lchlv.com) has extensive experience in foreclosure rehabilitation. In participation with local banks with large REO inventories, he produces a high-volume of certified "move-in-ready" homes that retain property values and, in turn, are stabilizing neighborhoods all throughout Las Vegas, Clark County and Southern Nevada.

"Zolt's passion and expertise are tremendous assets," notes Cassell, "and we look forward to working together to make quality housing available to low to moderate income homebuyers. The workmanship and care that Zolt and his team puts into our community development projects impresses potential buyers and leaves the neighborhoods we serve in a much better position."

"Alan Cassell and Zolt Szorenyi are constantly improving and building on their past successes," states Mark Hanson, Ph.D., President of Heartland Coalition.

"We will also be training high-risk youth and veterans in the repair, weatherization and solarization of residential and commercial buildings to create a qualified workforce for Green Industries jobs and to include even greater energy savings in all our redevelopment projects."

"Together we will continue to repair and market REO housing," he adds, "and Heartland Coalition is honored to be part of the revitalization and sustainability of the greater Las Vegas Community."
