Amsterdam, the Netherlands, March 5, 2012 - Ahold has repurchased 2,860,517 Ahold common shares in the period from February 27, 2012 up to and including March 2, 2012. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 10.2558 per share for a total consideration of € 29.34 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 102,661,215 common shares for a total consideration of € 957.76 million.
