PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - Mar 13, 2012) - Arizona's own jackpot game, The Pick, has climbed to $5.4 million for Wednesday night's draw, which is the largest The Pick jackpot in nearly two years.
The Pick jackpot has rolled 37 times without a winner, growing since November 5, 2011 from $1 million to $5.4 million. Since the jackpot started rolling, more than $2.38 million in prizes have been awarded, and last week alone there were more than 23,000 The Pick winners.
"This is the highest The Pick jackpot we've seen in nearly two years," said Karen Bach, assistant director of budget, products and communications of the Arizona Lottery. "As Arizona's own jackpot game, it's exciting to watch The Pick jackpot grow."
The Pick costs $1 per ticket and players select six numbers, one through 44. Players win a prize for matching a minimum of three numbers. Ticket sales stop at 9:30 p.m. the night of the draw.
Winning numbers for The Pick are broadcast Wednesdays and Saturdays during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson and posted on www.ABC15.com in Phoenix.
Players can check their numbers by logging onto www.ArizonaLottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotline at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas. Players can also opt-in to receive winning number text alerts by texting "AZLOT" to 411247.
