Richmond Plastic Surgeon Recently Elected to Active Membership of ASAPS

RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - Mar 15, 2012) - Dr. Neil J. Zemmel and Richmond Aesthetic Surgery have announced his acceptance into the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), one of the most prominent organizations in the nation for cosmetic enhancements. At his Richmond plastic surgery practice, Dr. Zemmel says he is honored to be elected as an Active Member and expects his installment into the society will reinforce his commitment to the highest level of patient satisfaction, care, and results.

Dr. Zemmel was recently elected as a Richmond plastic surgeon to Active Membership in ASAPS, an educational and professional society dedicated to cosmetic surgery and medicine through the sponsorship of scientific meetings, publications, and patient advocacy. He says he expects inclusion in this prestigious organization marks his continued pursuit of quality care in plastic surgery. Dr. Zemmel also says he is thankful to be included amongst the ranks of some of the best plastic surgeons in the world.

Providing patients and surgeons with the latest information on cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures such as breast augmentation and BOTOX® Cosmetic, ASAPS was founded in 1967 and currently boasts over 2,600 members in the U.S., Canada, and worldwide. ASAPS requires all members to comply with a strict set of requirements including: certification either by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or in plastic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; at least three years of active practice following certification; participation in accredited Continued Medical Education (CME); documentation of a significant number of cosmetic surgical cases; and sponsorship by two current ASAPS-member plastic surgeons to help ensure their professional reputation measures up with ASAPS standards. "The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is a professional society dedicated to elevating the standards of patient satisfaction, safety, and technology for cosmetic plastic surgery. Being a member of ASAPS means we have been recognized as a practice that adheres to these standards. My patients will now know that we strive to give them the best result, the safest surgery, and most compassionate care possible."

Dr. Zemmel says he is excited for his dedication and hard work to be recognized by the society and hopes patients will take note of his commitment to excellence in all facets of cosmetic surgery, whether it be breast lift procedures or mommy makeovers. Dr. Zemmel adds that through the various continued education programs and annual meetings ASAPS sponsors, he also looks forward to perfecting his techniques and expanding his grasp on the latest technology available in aesthetic enhancements. "As the annual ASAPS meeting approaches, I am excited about being recognized as a physician dedicated to the highest level of patient care and excellence. Being accepted as an ASAPS member is an honor and we are excited to practice cosmetic plastic surgery to its high standards."
