Lubrizol and Merquinsa to Promote Integrated Technology Offerings at NPE 2012
Featuring Pearlthane® TPU Resins for Hydraulic Seals
BARCELONA, Spain, March 26, 2012 - Merquinsa announces its participation in the NPE 2012 international plastics exhibition from April 1-5, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. Merquinsa, recently acquired by The Lubrizol Corporation, will be located at Lubrizol's Booth # 35004. Lubrizol and Merquinsa will be featuring Pearlthane® TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) polymers formulated for the specific needs of the industrial market.
Increasing demand for high performing polymer materials with low compression set and high abrasion and oil resistance for seals drove the recent development of the new Pearlthane® D11HxxS series based on polycaprolactone specialty polymers.
Pearlthane® D11H92S and Pearlthane® D11H95S TPU resins, 92 and 95 Shore A hardness, respectively, were designed using Merquinsa's "H" technology for industrial high pressure hydraulic seals with improved flow properties and high hydrolysis resistance. Both products offer outstanding low compression at high temperatures. These grades may be injection molded with extremely short cycles.
Lubrizol and Merquinsa are committed to innovate in speciality technology to widen their engineered polymer portfolio and provide for the demanding needs of industrial applications. By integrating Lubrizol's application and formulation expertise with Merquinsa's hydraulic seal technology, Lubrizol continues to expand its Engineered Polymers platform to meet the diverse needs of its global customers.
