On 25 April 2012, Germany's federal cartels office (Bundeskartellamt) authorized the Feintool Group's acquisition of Herzing+Schroth. As a result, the purchase contract signed on 14 March 2012 will come into force within the next few weeks.
With this acquisition, Feintool will further strengthen its global and technological lead while at the same time focusing on highly demanding fineblanking and forming applications. Herzing+Schroth is an excellent strategic match for Feintool. Its technological expertise will enhance the new group's position in the area of forming, which is closely related to fineblanking, while also considerably increasing its geographical reach in both the US and the Asian markets. For Feintool, this move is a logical continuation of the focus strategy it has pursued over the last three years.
