PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwire - May 8, 2012) - Depositing a check just got easier! Dollar Bank's taking mobile banking a step further, so customers can deposit checks using Dollar Bank's App and have them immediately deposited, without setting foot in a branch or finding an ATM.
Using an Android™ or iPhone®, Dollar Bank Online Banking customers can securely access their accounts with the Dollar Bank App, by logging in with their username and password. After selecting Deposit, the app takes them through the mobile deposit process with step-by-step instructions. They simply select their account, input the deposit amount, take a photo of the front and back of their check, and send it to Dollar Bank. An e-mail confirmation of the deposit will be sent and unlike many mobile deposit services, funds will appear immediately in your Dollar Bank account. Dollar Bank recommends that customers keep the check for 14 days after depositing to confirm that the check has cleared and then destroy it.
"Customers have asked for mobile deposit from the time we introduced our app. Free Mobile Remote Deposit is our answer. Because of the widespread use of smartphones, more and more customers want a way to do their banking without making that extra trip to a branch. They want to bank using their phone. To check account balances, review activity, transfer funds and pay bills. Enhancing our mobile banking services to include mobile remote deposit creates the added convenience for our customers to bank anytime, anywhere." -- Pamela Dancisin, Vice President Marketing
