In accordance with the financial transparency rules and legislation, JP Morgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. has notified Solvay that on 8 May 2012 the total participation of its various affiliates has passed the threshold of 3% of the shares issued by Solvay S.A.
The group JP Morgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. held 2,580,788 Solvay shares on 8 May 2012 through the following affiliates:
| JP Morgan Asset Management UK Ltd | 1,190,433 Solvay shares |
| JP Morgan, Investment Management Inc. | 1,195,055 Solvay shares |
| JP Morgan Asset Management (Taiwan) | 12,374 Solvay shares |
| JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association | 182,926 Solvay shares |
This amounts to a total of 2,580,788 shares or 3.05% of the shares issued by Solvay S.A.
