SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 22, 2012) - As parents seek a trusted source for educational content on mobile devices, Fingerprint Digital Inc. has committed to building exceptional edutainment apps and partnering with talented developers to offer high quality learning and play experiences for kids 3-8 on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Today, early childhood educational app developer KidSpring Studio joins Creativity Inc. and Happy Blue Fish as the latest independent developer to integrate third-party mobile apps into the Fingerprint network.
KidSpring Studio is releasing two of its most popular apps, 'Toddler Counting & Alphabets - Dinosaurs,' and 'Alphabet Letter & Number Sequencing - Space Aliens,' adding Fingerprint's unique Mom-Comm features which allow parents to exchange messages with the child, get reports on learning and play activity, and receive recommendations for new content and age appropriate games.
- Toddler Counting & Alphabets - Dinosaurs: (ages 2-4) Kids travel back in time to the Prehistoric Ages, developing letter and number sequencing skills through puzzles and quizzes
- Alphabet Letter & Number Sequencing - Space Aliens: (ages 3-5) In an intergalactic world, kids can take their ABC's and 1-2-3's to the next level with the help of the friendly space aliens
"By adding only top quality apps, like Dinosaurs and Space Aliens, we're taking the challenge out of searching for fun, educational apps," says Fingerprint CEO Nancy MacIntyre. "In joining the Fingerprint network, KidSpring Studio will be able to make it easier for parents to identify the apps that are appropriate for each developmental stage, and to stay up to date with their kids' progress."
Fingerprint is also adding two additional countries to the popular learning and exploration game, Whole Wide World. Now kids can travel to eight destinations around the globe learning geography, social studies, history and culture through exciting gameplay. The latest countries include:
- Antarctica: (ages 5-8) In the frozen desert of Antarctica, kids learn about penguins, seals and the earth's rotation, and warm-up by practicing their matching skills
- United States: (ages 5-8) Kids play an action-packed racing game, developing math skills as the car breaks for pit stops, and learning fun facts about Old Faithful, Hollywood and more
The basic version of Whole Wide World is available for free with access to China, Egypt, Iceland and Australia, and with the latest additions, parents can now purchase trips to Italy, Mexico, Antarctica and the USA for 99 cents each in the iTunes App Store. The full version of the app Whole Wide World Premier, which includes all eight countries, is now available for purchase for $2.99. KidSpring Studio's Toddler Counting & Alphabets - Dinosaurs is now available for free, and Alphabet Letter & Number Sequencing - Space Aliens can be purchased for $1.99.
