LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 7, 2012) - Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the leading provider of credit building and credibility solutions for businesses, today attended the Clinton Global Initiative America (CGI America) meeting and committed company resources toward economic recovery in the United States.
Dun & Bradstreet Credibility announced its Commitment to Action during the CGI America meeting this week in Chicago, offering to provide small businesses with access to education, business credit consultations and credit building services that will help small businesses be better equipped to access the capital they may need.
Dun & Bradstreet Credibility understands that some of the most economically impacted companies need the very products they can't afford when it comes to starting up or staying afloat. Dun & Bradstreet Credibility has committed to empower their hundreds of Credit Advisors (CAs), who speak to more than 10,000 small businesses a week, to donate in aggregate up to $1 million in free credit monitoring and credit building services to businesses that they determine to be struggling. The Dun & Bradstreet Credibility products that will be considered for donation will include CreditAlert, CreditMonitor and CreditBuilder.
CGI America was established in 2005 by President Bill Clinton to address economic recovery in the United States. The June 7-8, 2012 meeting in Chicago brings together leaders in business, government and civil society to generate and implement commitments to create jobs, stimulate economic growth, foster innovation and support workforce development in the United States.
"Our participation in the Clinton Global Initiative reflects our core belief that small businesses drive the U.S. economy, and that helping those small businesses leads directly to job creation -- particularly along Main Street USA," said Jeff Stibel, CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility. "Small business owners face a lot of hurdles, and we're proud to join President Bill Clinton in his efforts to strengthen our local and national economies."
The 2012 CGI America Meeting will take place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. Gathering in large plenary sessions and smaller working groups, participants ranging from Fortune 500 CEOs to mayors will discuss and publicly commit to innovative solutions that prepare Americans to be competitive in the global economy. Participants will join one of the 12 topic-specific working groups that will provide them with opportunities to share knowledge, build partnerships, and generate Commitments to Action: new, specific, and measurable plans that address an economic challenge facing the United States.
In addition to the Small Business category, the 12 CGI America working groups will focus on the following topics: Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Electricity and Efficiency, Clean Fuel and Transportation, Early Childhood Education, Entrepreneurship, Financial Inclusion, Housing Recovery, Reconnecting Youth, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Education, Wellness, and Workforce Development.
