Johnson will be responsible for financial and strategic planning and long-term sustainability at the Dallas-based organization.
Johnson is a 20-year veteran of both non-profit and professional sports organizations. Most recently, he served as president of Garth Brooks' Teammates for Kids Foundation and was previously vice president of marketing for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball.
