In June 2012, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 1.0% compared to June 2011, with a total of 8.0 million passengers handled including 5.5 million at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (+2.3%) and 2.4 million at Paris-Orly (-1.7%).
- International traffic (excluding Europe) increased by 3.2% with good performance in Asia-Pacific +11.3% (strong recovery in Japan); the Middle East +7.9% ; Latin America +4.0% and Africa +2.4%. North America has returned to growth (+1.4%) after a decline of 5.4% in May 2012. In contrast, the French Overseas Territories decreased by 9.1% following a sharp reduction in capacity offered by some airlines.
- European traffic (excluding France) increased slightly by 0.6%.
- Traffic within France decreased by 1.9%, mainly because of a tough comparable base as June 2011 traffic was up 6.3%. However, the decline was less severe than in May 2012 (-4.6%).
- The number of connecting passengers was up by 6.2%. The connecting rate rose by 1.1 point at 23.2%.
Since the beginning of the year, Aéroports de Paris passenger traffic increased by 2.0 % with a total of 42.8 million passengers handled. The number of connecting passengers was up 6.1%, resulting in a connecting rate of 24.2% up by 0.9 point. The traffic of TAV Airports, owned at 38% by Aéroports de Paris, increased over the same period by 34.2%
