Carlsbad Chiropractor to Host Immunization Workshop, Address Vaccination Safety and Effectiveness

CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- West Coast Chiropractic in Carlsbad, CA announced that the practice will be holding a vaccination workshop on Tuesday, August 21. Admission for the workshop, which starts at 6pm, is free, but space is limited. Participants are asked to RSVP in advance to guarantee a space. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that children receive 50 different vaccines before the age of six. A total of 70 vaccines are recommended by the age of 18. The workshop will educate participants on the benefits and risks of vaccination, including studies done on the safety and effectiveness of the current immunization schedule.

Carlsbad chiropractor Dr. Tyson Perez will be teaching a vaccination workshop to educate patients about the benefits and potential dangers associated with the current CDC vaccination schedule.

"Many parents have not been fully educated about the possible risks associated with vaccination. Is this schedule safe? Is it even necessary? I'll be addressing these and other questions at my upcoming vaccination workshop," said Dr. Perez.

The free workshop, scheduled for Tuesday, August 21, is open to all interested participants, including individuals who are not currently patients at West Coast Chiropractic. Space is limited, however, so individuals interested in attending are asked to RSVP in advance.

According to Dr. Perez, his patients frequently have questions about the safety and efficacy of vaccinations. While health authorities credit vaccines with preventing deadly diseases, like polio, some medical professionals, parents and activists have raised concerns that the current vaccination schedule is unnecessarily exposing children to danger.

"Studies show that vaccines are not as safe as the government would like us to believe," said Dr. Perez. "During this workshop, we will discuss some of the current medical research evaluating vaccine safety, including claims that vaccines may be an unreliable means for preventing diseases. We will also look more closely at the government's claim that vaccines are the reason for lower disease rates in the United Sates today."

The chiropractor will discuss potential side effects from the current vaccine protocols, including the potential link between vaccinations and autism. Dr. Perez will also answer questions from parents about the spacing and timing of vaccines during infancy and childhood.

"In spite of the direct correlations between vaccinations and serious health conditions, the long term adverse effects of vaccination have been largely ignored," said Dr. Perez. "That's why we are hosting this workshop. With the beginning of the school year, many districts have certain vaccinations which are mandated, but are vaccinations really in a child's best interest? This is one question that we will address during the workshop."

Individuals who wish to attend the workshop may RSVP by calling the practice.
