IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 14, 2012) - Orange County Business Council (OCBC), the leading voice of business in Orange County, has endorsed Mayor Frank Ury for re-election to the Mission Viejo City Council. Ury has served on the City Council since 2004.

First elected in 2004, Frank Ury served as Mayor in 2009 and as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2006 and in 2008. He was appointed as the current Mayor in January of 2012. He serves as the City's representative for the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency (TCA), the Transportation Corridor System, the League of California Cities (LOCC), and the Association of California Cities-Orange County (ACC-OC). Mayor Ury is also the alternate for the Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG) and for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Ury is respected by his peers as a regional leader on transportation and economic development issues.
