SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 22, 2012) - DataSift, the social data platform company, today launched Push and Query Builder, to make it even easier for enterprises to mine and filter through data across the Social Web and integrate it into their own business intelligence (BI) platforms and data warehouses. DataSift's Push and Query Builder tools allow enterprises to easily create filters and combine data with their own enterprise tools to quickly analyze and make sense of important data about their customers, competitors and markets that are contained in Social Data sources.
Both of these developments have been made possible by DataSift's unique cloud infrastructure, which has been architected and built specifically to handle massive volumes of real-time and historical Social Data.
DataSift Push -- Seamless Social Big Data Delivery into BI platforms
The volume of Social Data is exploding. Push, available today, is a new data delivery system that gives companies more control over the data they receive and allows them to more easily integrate and analyze Social Data alongside their own business data. Using DataSift's self-service platform, companies can simply login, set up feeds and manage when, how and where the data will be pushed. This enables companies to easily manage the volumes of data produced by social media analysis and utilize the data in a wider range of applications.
Push integrates with existing BI applications, databases, data warehousing platforms and other cloud services, including Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, MongoDB, CouchDB, FTP/SFTP, ElasticSearch and WebHooks.
"Moving Big Data around the Internet is non-trivial and we spent nine months building out an infrastructure that is capable of easily delivering terabytes of data," said DataSift Founder & CTO, Nick Halstead. "We guarantee delivery of that data with 'Push' and already have connectors with many popular cloud services, and expect many more to be released in the coming months."
DataSift Query Builder -- Easier and Faster Social Big Data Analysis
DataSift's Query Builder makes it even easier for enterprises to work with Social Data. Query Builder provides companies with a simple, graphical interface within DataSift to create sophisticated filters that mine the Social Web both real-time and historically -- all without needing to learn a programming language.
DataSift is also open sourcing the Query Builder so that it may be embedded into customer products providing enterprises with the flexibility to create queries that are as simple or complex as they need. Written in HTML5 and Javascript the interface is easily configurable so that companies can easily add and remove functions or data sources to fit their needs and customizable to match any enterprises' needs.
"DataSift's goal is to make it as easy as possible for enterprises to combine and filter Social Big Data into a more focused, manageable set so they can understand and act on the social conversations that impact their business," said DataSift CEO, Rob Bailey. "Companies have invested millions of dollars into their own Big Data applications and we are giving our customers an advantage by offering a way to seamlessly integrate Social Data into the business systems they already have in place."
As a Big Data platform for Social Data, DataSift aggregates billions of social interactions from more than a million public sources such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, blogs, forums and online message boards. DataSift provides companies with access to both real-time and historical public Tweets to filter and uncover insights and trends that relate to markets, news, brands, public opinion, etc. Push and Query Builder offers the next wave of media monitoring, enabling enterprises and social analytics companies to be more competitive.
