Frankfurt / Main, August 22, 2012 - Against the background of planned
regulatory changes in Europe, in particular in connection with the
implementation of Basel III in the EU (CRD IV/CRR), the German Federal
Cabinet decided on August 22, 2012 to introduce a draft bill to the German
Parliament amending the law of Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank. The draft
bill will establish, in addition to the existing institutional liability
(Anstaltslast), a government guarantee for the obligations of
Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank (refinancing guarantee).
