Omron Network Products Introduces New High-Speed, High-Performance Optical Modules

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 28, 2012) - Omron Network Products, LLC (ONP), the leading manufacturer of high-performance optical modules for VoF (Video over Fiber) and high-speed-data transmission, today announced the availability of flexible new optical transmitter and receiver modules, both rated to handle 14Gb/s of data over a single multimode fiber. Transmission distances up to 1 kilometer are possible using the new modules. The new P1TX6B-SX51x-02C and P1RX6B-SX51x-02C, also called 02C TX and RX Modules, are available now.

The new data modules are designed for easy use and quick implementation into various fiber extension products. The protocol-agnostic data modules include a pre-programmed laser driver, an integrated SC clip, and a durable metal housing with EMI shielding, all of which support the modules' high-performance capabilities.
