Foxit Reader 5.4 provides support for Microsoft® Active Directory® Rights Management Service (AD RMS) SDK 2.0 and AD RMS Client 2.0. It also complies with Microsoft's IRM Protection for PDF Specification Supplement for ISO 32000. Foxit Reader 5.4 and PhantomPDF 5.4 also provide enhanced integration with Microsoft SharePoint®.
AD RMS is Microsoft's Information Rights Management (IRM) solution which protects sensitive information from unauthorized access through technologies such as encryption and rights policy enforcement. - PDF File Encryption - allows users to encrypt PDF files compliant with AD RMS 2.0.
- Support Microsoft Office® workflows - provides a consistent user experience to protect PDF documents in a similar workflow as protecting Microsoft Office documents.
- Works with SharePoint® - decrypts and opens AD RMS 2.0 protected files on SharePoint servers.
Foxit Reader 5.4 and PhantomPDF 5.4 now support Microsoft SharePoint file check-in/check-out, which allows users to seamlessly check-out and check-in PDF files located on SharePoint servers.
