INDEPENDENCE, Mo., Oct. 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cabela's, a national sporting goods and outdoor retail store, closed on a 10.68 acre retail site located on the Southwest corner of Interstate 25 and Ridgegate Parkway, in the southern end of Metro Denver, within the town of Lone Tree. The purchase price according to Douglas County records was $3,721,800 or $8.00 per square foot and closed October 4, 2012.
According to Kelly First, Planning Manager for the City of Lone Tree, the project has been in the planning stages since March 2012 and a 105,000 square foot Cabela's will be constructed with Certificate of Occupancy expected by Spring 2013. "While the property has been rezoned and entitlements are complete, infrastructures including water, sewer and utility lines are currently being stubbed to the site," said Ms. First. "There has been a lot of interest within the community for this development."
According to Elizabeth Marston of Coventry Development Corporation, the 10.68 acres site is part of a 30-acre retail master-planned development located on the Southwest Corner of Interstate 25 and Ridgegate Parkway and retail (non-grocery related) and possibly hotel/restaurant development is proposed. The property is in the Rampart Metro District.
