The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) is an honorary trial lawyer society that recognizes highly qualified, experienced trial lawyers. The invitation-only society is comprised of 3,500 members, less than one half of one percent of all the lawyers in the U.S. Its members are selected to recognize excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all areas of the bar. Fellows are evaluated based on accomplishment in litigation, both at trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. The number of fellowships awarded is deliberately kept at a certain limit. Fellows are usually at the partner or shareholder level, or are independent practitioners with several years of experience.
