The board of Seadrill has resolved to distribute an ordinary quarterly dividend of USD 0.85 per share for the third quarter as well as an extraordinary quarterly dividend of USD 0.85 for the fourth quarter. The total dividend amounts to USD 1.70 per share, and the scheduled Ex-date for both dividends is December 4, 2012.
NASDAQ OMX Global Index Group will act and adjust for USD 0.85 as an extraordinary dividend in SDRL in accordance to the “Rules for the Construction and Maintenance of the NASDAQ OMX and Oslo Bors All-Share, Benchmark, Tradable and Sector Indexes 1.9.4”, rule 4.5.
