Diamond Foods Names New Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain


SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Diamond Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq:DMND) announced that effective today, David J. Colo has been appointed to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain.

Mr. Colo brings more than twenty-five years of operations and supply chain experience to Diamond Foods. He spent seven years with ConAgra Foods in a variety of senior roles including manufacturing, operations and food ingredients general management in the Consumer and Commercial Products Divisions. Prior to joining ConAgra Foods, Mr. Colo spent 16 years with Nestle-Purina where he held several roles with increasing responsibilities in supply chain, production, plant management, quality assurance, operations planning and general management. Mr. Colo holds a B.S. in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University.

In this role, Mr. Colo will have responsibility for global manufacturing, procurement and supply chain and report to Brian J. Driscoll, Diamond Foods' President and CEO.
