NightCulture Inc. and Disco Donnie Presents Release Attendance Figures for 2012 Something Wicked Electronic Music Festival

HOUSTON, Dec. 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NightCulture Inc. & Disco Donnie Presents have released attendance figures for Something Wicked electronic music festival held in Houston over Halloween weekend. The event, held at Sam Houston Race Park, featured electronic artists Kaskade, Zedd, Nero and others, drew just over 12,000 attendees, according to a statement released today. Because of the success of this year's inaugural festival, NightCulture & Disco Donnie Presents feel many of the event attendees will return to Houston for the event in 2013.

"The NightCulture & Disco teams strived to create a top-notch Halloween electronic music festival with a strong artist line-up and the fans responded. One of the promising aspects of festivals like these is that, in many cases, fans from other cities travel to Houston earlier and stay longer," said Michael Long, CEO of NightCulture Inc. "We're excited by the prospect that the fans' loyalty helps support the Houston community by generating tax revenues, and we're thrilled to see how the festival, and our relationship with Houston, can grow."

Additionally, as part of Something Wicked's commitment to charitable giving, NightCulture & Disco Donnie Presents made a $10,000 donation to The Bob Moog Foundation. The Foundation, which honors late music synthesizer luminary Bob Moog, impacts and enriches the lives of children by igniting creativity at the intersection of music, science, history and innovation.

Plans for the 2013 Something Wicked will be announced in the near future.
