Tatung and Arkados Collaborate on Developing Smart Home Devices Leveraging Arkados' ArkTIC(R) Solutions Experience for Fast Time to Market


NEW YORK and TAIPEI, Taiwan, Jan. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At the 2013 International CES, Tatung Co., a worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of industrial, energy, and consumer products, and Arkados Group, Inc. (OTC:AKDS), a provider of software solutions for the Internet of Things and Energy Efficiency, have agreed to collaborate on the joint development of innovative smart home devices featuring home energy management and intelligent control over cloud services.

Within the collaboration plan, Arkados will contribute its ArkTIC® software solutions and development expertise to enable Tatung's smart home devices intended for Home Area Network (HAN) applications. In addition, Arkados will provide user control interfaces that can run on a wide array of devices that include smart phones and tablets.  Tatung, a key player in the smart grid market, is a world-class manufacturer of a wide array of products in such areas as energy and power equipment, home appliances, and smart devices.
