Specifically, this Nevada slip-and-fall lawsuit was filed in March of 2012 against Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. The case was filed on behalf of an injured individual plaintiff and it was filed in the District Court of Clark County, Nevada. The matter was assigned a case number of A-12-658632-C. It was assigned to Department Number XXXI, and it was filed in an effort to recover damages allegedly sustained by the plaintiff when she fell and was injured on the premises of that defendant.

The case arose based on, according to court documents, an incident that occurred on August 25, 2011. The court documents state that the plaintiff was lawfully on the premises of the defendant on that day as a paying store customer. While she was there, the plaintiff allegedly slipped and fell while near the produce section of the store. The woman suffered severe back and neck injuries that required extensive medical care and that resulted in substantial losses for the plaintiff.

The court documents went on to allege that the reason that the plaintiff female slipped, fell and was injured on the premises of the defendant was because a water pipe that was part of the irrigation system that was used to water the produce periodically was moved out of its usual location. The moving of this pipe allegedly led to water accumulating on the floor, and this was the water that the plaintiff stepped into and slipped on when she was injured.
