The Belimo Group is a global leader in the field of actuator solutions for controlling heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The company posted a solid 2012 despite the difficult market environment. Sales developed well thanks to the multifaceted and innovative product line, although the growth in sales varied by region.
In Swiss francs, net sales grew by 6.9 percent to CHF 444.6 million. Adjusted for currency effects, total growth amounted to 5.4 percent. Growth was 5.7 percent in Europe, 5.9 percent in the Americas, and 1.7 percent in Asia/Pacific. The air and water applications business grew by 4.0 percent and 7.5 percent respectively.
On the basis of preliminary numbers, the Belimo Group expects its operating income (EBIT) to be around CHF 76 million (first half 2012 CHF 36.0 million, previous year CHF 67.8 million). Net income also moved higher and is expected to be CHF 61 million (first half 2012 CHF 29.6 million, previous year CHF 51.6 million).
