SANTA ROSA, Calif., Feb. 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Summit State Bank (Nasdaq:SSBI) appointed Brad Baker to its Board of Directors. Mr. Baker joined the Board February 25, 2013.

Mr. Baker is the President and CEO of Codding Investments, an investment holding company in Santa Rosa with investments in commercial real estate, a commercial construction company, alternative energy and a subsidiary that develops deeply sustainable mixed-use communities. In addition to his work at Codding, Baker is co-founder and chairman of Community Fuels Inc., an alternative energy company, and he formed the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster in 2006 to foster start-up companies in the North Bay Region of California. In addition he is on the board of Aspen Air Inc., a maker of high performance air filters.
Brad graduated with distinction in Economics from San Diego State University in 1988.
