Automotive supplier DTR Industries selects IFS Applications

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that DTR Industries,
a leading supplier of automotive components, has selected IFS Applications to
support its complex multi-mode production with enterprise resource planning
(ERP).
DTR engages in a broad range of manufacturing operations for automotive anti
-vibration and hose products. These include rubber mixing, metal stamping,
welding, aluminum die casting, painting, rubber curing, rubber extruding,
plastic injection, and assembly operations. DTR’s main customers include Honda,
Nissan, and Toyota.

This blend of process and discrete manufacturing made the strong mixed-mode
capabilities of IFS Applications very appealing. DTR is headquartered in
Bluffton, Ohio and operates other facilities in Midway, Tenn., Novi, Mich. and
Chihuahua, Mexico. DTR is a subsidiary of Tokai Rubber Industries, Ltd., and IFS
Applications has been successfully implemented across other companies in the
Tokai group.

The automotive industry is one of IFS’ targeted markets. IFS’ Automotive
solution provides the right tools for managing the interaction between
automotive dealers, automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers, and subcontractors in
networks of varying complexity. IFS Applications—with its unique agility,
scalability and openness—offers unprecedented breadth and depth of functionality
for all business-critical processes in the automotive sector.

IFS’ automotive customers include Volvo, BMW, Scania, Linamar, Borgstena, HUF
Hülsbeck & Fürst, Toyota, and Finnveden Group.
