NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jewelry Information Center (JIC), the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America, launched its fourth annual Ultimate Proposal Contest at www.JIC.org/contest to find the couple with the ultimate proposal story! The grand prize winner receives an Ultimate Bridal Shopping Spree that includes a $1,000 gift card redeemable at a Jewelers of America-member jewelry store and a $1,000 gift card to David's Bridal®.
To enter the Ultimate Proposal Contest, couples go to www.JIC.org/contest and enter their engagement proposal stories along with a photo or video. The Top 20 entries that receive the most votes will move on to the final judging round for a chance at being named Jewelry Information Center's 2013 Ultimate Proposal Story!
"The Ultimate Proposal Contest celebrates the incredible creativity and passion that love inspires. Whether newly engaged or long married, a couple's proposal story is one of the most significant moments of their life together. Much like the engagement ring, it reflects their commitment and love," says Amanda Gizzi, spokesperson for Jewelry Information Center.
