NEGOTIATIONS WITH SINOPHI TERMINATED, GEOSENTRIC HAS REQUESTED SHORT-TERM FUNDING FROM ITS MAIN INVESTORS AND EXAMINES ALTENATIVE ACQUISION TARGET

GeoSentric Oyj announced on January 30, 2013 the signing of a term sheet regarding the acquisition of Sinophi Healthcare Limited. The company announced further on February 26, 2013 that the negotiations are continuing with the target to close by the end of Q1 2013. GeoSentric now announces that the negotiations with Sinophi have been terminated.

As a result of the termination GeoSentric has commenced negotiations with another acquisition target based on a similar deal structure that was negotiated with Sinophi. GeoSentric has also requested additional short-term funding from its key investors that have already indicated their commitment to make such short-term funding available to the company. This short-term funding would enable GeoSentric to complete the acquisition or, in the event of non-completion, orderly wind-down of its business. The company aims at releasing further details of the planned new acquisition by the end of the week.
