VSI London Appoints a New Managing Director

BERLIN and LONDON, March 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cornelia Al-Khaled has recently joined VSI London, head office of the VSI Group, a market leader in dubbing, subtitling and voice-over. She took up her new position as Managing Director in February 2013. Her appointment comes at a time when VSI is enhancing its core business of multi-language versioning to meet the requirements of a rapidly developing digital market. Norman Dawood, CEO of the VSI Group, is expanding his management team with a view to responding more efficiently to developing market requirements internationally.

Before joining VSI, Cornelia spent six years with Harris Systems Ltd. as Head of Professional Services Business EA & ME. During this time, she gained wide experience at senior management level in the customer relationship, revenue growth, operational cost savings and business development sectors. Cornelia first forged links with VSI in Nov 2006 when she provided business development consultancy for Europe and the Middle East. From 1997 to 2005 she worked for Showtime (VIACOM) as Head of the Subtitling, Dubbing and Translation Department.

As Managing Director of VSI London, Cornelia will bring to the position a thorough understanding of the media industry and its operations as well as very considerable leadership and decision-making skills. She will work closely with the current management team and most especially with CEO Norman Dawood to develop the business strategy of the firm on a national and international level.

Cornelia, who was born in Germany and lives in London, holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Leeds and a BA in English Language and Literature from the Damascus University, Syria.
