TORONTO--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2013) - Sigma Systems, a leader in service fulfillment of converged broadband services, today announced it has completed the deployment of its project for Tricom S.A., a leading service provider in Dominican Republic. Sigma is enabling the provisioning of Tricom's services to its customers across the country.
"Tricom has enjoyed great success over the last years, but with that growth we needed a solution that would help us to streamline our provisioning to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, while reducing the costs associated with provisioning the growing number of devices on our network," said Santiago Peralta, Chief Technology Officer, Tricom S.A.
With Sigma's solution, Tricom can easily manage the orchestration of customer entitlements across multiple device types to offer communications services to its subscribers. The Sigma solution enables Tricom to quickly create new device configuration templates, which accelerates the delivery of new services. Sigma also offers a centralized system status and device health monitoring tool, which troubleshoots access devices and supports carrier-class reliability. Sigma's Customer Enablement team worked closely with Tricom to manage the deployment of this project.
"Tricom has become one of the largest service providers in the Caribbean, and a preferred choice for customers who want to benefit from the latest business and residential services, whether traditional TV and communications services, value added services or even OTT," said Tim Spencer, President and COO at Sigma Systems.
"With Sigma's catalog-driven fulfillment solutions, the company has the ability to easily expand its business and support any of the growing number and variety of devices on the market today," said Alejandro Couce, Caribbean and Latin America Sales Head of Region at Sigma Systems. "We look forward to helping Tricom to further its growth."
Sigma's provisioning solutions enable communications service providers to rapidly provision multiple subscriber services in a multi-vendor, multi-device type environment, by assigning different classes of services, per service and per subscriber. This provisioning activity is performed by dynamically generating device configuration files which are automatically delivered to the CPE device, regardless of access protocol. Sigma automatically and dynamically configures, upgrades, and provisions device entitlements, mapping the subscribers' identity and their entitlements to all devices connected to the customer premise equipment (CPE).
