RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwired - Apr 10, 2013) - ALR Technologies (
"I am truly humbled that a clinician of Dr. Gavin's stature would sign on to help ALR Technologies," said Sidney Chan, Chief Executive Officer of ALR Technologies. "Dr. Gavin's decision gives me great confidence that our Health-e-Connect Diabetes Management Program will create a new paradigm in diabetes care and foster a system of care that will allow more patients to meet their goals."
"In recent years, I have been increasingly alarmed that the status quo for diabetes care is not working," said Dr. Gavin. "We need to look for new models and new technologies that will bend the current trends for diabetes care in a more promising direction. The ALRT model of patient-centered remote monitoring combined with helpful communication and care facilitation for the patient is one of those transformative models that we must pursue. I am eager to be part of this exciting new model for diabetes care."
