Undertone Appoints Sal Candela as VP, Mobile Strategic Sales

Newly Created Role Signals Undertone's Commitment to Mobile as Part of Its Multi-Screen Strategy


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Apr 18, 2013) - Undertone, which creates digital advertising solutions for brands, today announced the appointment of Sal Candela as Vice President, Mobile Strategic Sales. In his newly created role, Candela will be responsible for shaping Undertone's mobile strategy and driving mobile ad sales amongst agencies and brands. Candela's appointment follows a period of sustained growth in Undertone's mobile business. The company enjoyed average sequential quarterly growth of more than 135% for the year 2012.

Candela has more than seven years of digital media experience and joins Undertone from PHD where he led the agency's mobile practice. In his role at PHD, Candela was responsible for educating clients around the benefits of mobile advertising and driving the integration of mobile within the agency's overall digital offering. During his time at PHD, the agency was recognized as mobile agency of the year for three consecutive years*. Before heading up PHD's mobile practice, Candela held senior digital strategy roles at both PHD and Omnicom Media Group.
