AB Sanitas (hereinafter the Company) hereby announces that it has terminated a contemplated procedure of sale of the pharmaceuticals manufacturing line and the real property (plant) related to this line.
Seeking to analyse all the potential options in connection therewith, on 8 October 2012 the Company applied to the Lithuanian Business Support Agency for a permission to sell the said assets, for the acquisition/modernization of which assistance funds of the EU structural funds were used under the Agreement for Assistance Provision made between the Company, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Business Support Agency on 21 January 2005. The Company has announced a respective confidential notification on material event to the Bank of Lithuania on 8 October 2012, which as from publication thereof is to be deemed to be disclosed in a general manner.
The Company further informs, that no arrangements for possible sale of the pharmaceuticals manufacturing line and the real property (plant) related to this line were concluded with any potential purchasers. Therefore, the Company continues in daily operations and in parallel looks for a new possible purchaser of the manufacturing site.
