FREMONT, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 30, 2013) - A Midwest medical device manufacturer has purchased from MicroTech its Stingray semi-automated intelligent wet process station with custom automation to clean their minimally invasive surgery (MIS) device. The wet process station was specially designed for ultra pure cleaning to address stringent medical industry contamination requirements.
The medical device process system was designed with 360-degree rotary robot automation and will be used both for process development and product manufacturing.
The system includes:
- MicroTech 5500 multi-tasking, GUI-based, touch screen, recipe controlled software
- Ultrasonic process for continuous, high energy cleaning
- Temperature controlled recirculation for reduced chemical usage
- Modular design for flexibility and ease of modification
The medical device process system will be delivered in April. Installation and final start-up qualification will follow.
