SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matrix Medical Network, a national leader in prospective medical assessment services for Medicare Advantage (MA) plan members, has announced its first Nurse Practitioner level 3 (NP3) clinicians. The NP3 designation is reserved for Matrix clinicians who consistently perform at the highest level in terms of four key performance metrics: quality, service, productivity, and teamwork.
The first clinicians to receive the NP3 level recognition have more than 250 years of combined experience and reside in states across the nation. Their careers have included clinical work in venues ranging from the U.S. military and surgical teams to research and education, and they trace their early interest in nursing back to examples set by relatives in the medical profession and teenage service as hospital candy stripers. A common theme among these clinicians is the passion for caring and helping people through proper health education.
Matrix's first clinical team members recognized with the new NP3 designation are Julie Bellavance, Anne Brandberg, Teresa Dempsey, Teresa Gallagher, Elaine Klos, Mary Beth Martin, Nancy Roe, Joni Sweigart, and Claire Washington.
"Every day, Matrix clinical professionals see more than 1,500 MA plan members. We do more home and nursing facility assessments in one month than most organizations do in a year," said Matrix Chief Medical Officer, Zachary Gerbarg, MD, CPC. "Our Nurse Practitioners are committed to improving the quality of care and health of every older adult they visit. In honor of this year's National Nurses Week, I would like to extend my personal thanks to our clinicians for their tireless compassion and dedicated service that they deliver to Matrix and MA members every day."
