Canada Shows Its Pet Appreciation

Canada's leading pet retailer Pet Valu, and its family of stores, is celebrating some paw-some news for pets in need!

Thanks to the generous support of pet lovers, Pet Valu, Paulmac's and Bosley's raised over $1 million in cash and supplies to support abandoned, homeless and abused animals in Pet Valu communities across the country. Not only did the Pet Valu family of stores exceed its fundraising goal of $825,000, Pet Valu stores found forever homes for 1,757 pets in need ― surpassing their goal of finding 1,200 adoptive homes.

Throughout April, during Pet Appreciation Month, pet lovers were invited to visit Pet Valu, Paulmac's and Bosley's locations across the country to show their support by buying an official PAW for $1, $2, $5 or $10 or donate much needed products and supplies.

Pet lovers also had the opportunity to learn about local pets in need of loving homes as Pet Valu stores partnered with local shelters and charities to host in-store adoptions during their National Adoption Weekend.
