16th Annual HR Technology(R) Conference and Exposition Announces Details of 2013 Program

Thousands of Experts, Practitioners and Vendors to Gather for Annual Town Meeting on Using Technology for All Aspects of HR

HORSHAM, PA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - Human Resource Executive® magazine, the premier publication focused on strategic issues in HR, today announced program details of the 16th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition, to be held October 7-9, 2013, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Considered one of the top two annual HR conferences, this year's event will be the biggest in its history. It will focus on today's leading global HR technology issues -- such as SaaS, The Cloud, Big Data, social media, mobile capabilities, video, analytics and gamification -- as well as traditional processes like learning, career development and talent management that remain important to HR today.

For the last 15 years, HR Tech has helped attendees get the maximum business benefit from technology for HR while providing them with actionable insights they can use back at the office. For the 2013 event, attendees from around the globe will learn from foremost industry experts, thought leaders from major and emerging HR consultancies, senior HR executives from the world's leading organizations and every important software vendor on a wide range of topics concerning the use of HR technology.

The 2013 event follows the success of last year's milestone 15th Annual HR Technology® Conference. With a record-breaking number of both exhibitors (257) and attendees, totaling a community of more than 6,000 individuals from 28 countries, the conference once again validated its position as the premier international HR event. Attendees of this year's conference will benefit from a wide range of sessions designed to shed light on some of the biggest challenges facing HR professionals today and how technology can solve those pain points.

One of the most anticipated sessions of the 2013 conference will be "The HR Tonight Show Starring Bill Kutik," during which conference co-chair Kutik will demonstrate his popular interviewing style for the last time before stepping down as co-chair. Along with co-host Naomi Lee Bloom, managing partner of Bloom & Wallace, this late night talk show inspired session will feature interviews with an impressive panel of industry experts, including Leighanne Levensaler, vice president of Product Management for Workday, Patricia Milligan, senior partner, regional president (North America) for Mercer, Brian Sommer, industry analyst for TechVentive, and John Sumser, principal analyst for HRxAnalysts and editor-in-chief of HRExaminer.

Another highlight will be the first ever "HR Tech Talks," inspired by the famous "TED Talks," given by today's leading thinkers in HR technology. In addition, the fifth annual "Awesome New Technologies for HR" session -- produced by new co-chair and Kutik's successor, Steve Boese -- will highlight the new HR technologies driving the enterprise software renaissance. During this session, attendees will see and hear live product demonstrations from a range of vendors, whether startups with a bleeding-edge tool or established providers eager to show that they're not done innovating.

In addition, the program agenda offers a range of sessions designed to address some of the most crucial aspects of HR technology today, such as social, mobile, video and analytics, as well as talent management, recruiting, HCM and service delivery.

The conference will be "bookended" by keynote addresses from two luminaries in the technology space. In his opening keynote, "Radical Openness: Previously Unthinkable Principles for Success," leading authority in innovation, media and impact of technology Don Tapscott will share his unique insights on how the increases in transparency and the sharing of intellectual property affects all aspects of society, from how business is done and talent is managed to whom we choose to govern us.

Providing the closing keynote will be Jason Averbook, co-founder of Knowledge Infusion and chief business innovation officer of Appirio. As one of the top influencers in HR technology, Averbook will offer a recap of the past five generations of HR technology, and share his thoughts on where it will go in the next five years.

"It will be hard to top last year's immensely successful conference, but with the quality of speakers, range of sessions addressing all aspects of HR technology and the high number of vendors and attendees already registered, the 2013 event will be our biggest yet," said Bill Kutik, who has served as conference co-chair since the event's inception and will continue as technology columnist for Human Resource Executive® following this year's conference. "The 16th Annual HR Technology® Conference promises to connect HR practitioners from all industries and around the world with cutting-edge insight into the tools, practices and technologies that will solve their biggest HR challenges."
