DALLAS, June 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global data center services provider CyrusOne (Nasdaq:CONE) is pleased to announce it has launched a virtual tour of its 640,000-square-foot Carrollton, Texas, data center on its website.
"Our Carrollton facility is one of the most energy-efficient data centers in the country, and the largest in the state of Texas," said Kevin Timmons, chief technology officer, CyrusOne. "The virtual tour of the facility shows that we have the ultimate flexibility in square footage, power and cooling as needed by customers, and the highest levels of security—with seven layers of physical protection. Our Fortune 1000 customers cite 100 percent uptime, speed to market, and customer service as key attributes for choosing to do business with us."
Located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, CyrusOne's Carrollton facility is home to the company's headquarters. Six phases of colocation space are planned for this location. The first phase, at 47,000 square feet, was commissioned after just 14 weeks from the start of work. Carrollton is the company's first Massively Modular® data center—an engineering approach that delivers industry-leading energy optimization and uses just-in-time inventory management to quickly and efficiently build data center space as customer demand requires it.
The Carrollton location has 60,000 square feet of Class A office space and customer amenities including a modern cafeteria and two-story recreation area. The entire facility is large enough to house six 747 airplanes, four football fields, a dozen space shuttles and two Washington Monuments.
