SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 18, 2013) - On June 19th, 2013, the National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) will be hosting its first Military Career Fair. The Career Fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the San Diego Convention Center.
The event is aimed at finding positions within the apartment industry for military veterans, transitioning military members, and military spouses. Job opportunities are located in San Diego and the Southern California region, as well as metro areas around the country.
Hiring representatives from as many as twenty-five apartment industry companies will be in attendance, each seeking the specific skillsets found throughout the military population. These representatives are actively seeking to fill job openings in Southern California and other locations throughout the nation. Only veterans, transitioning military members, and military spouses are allowed to attend the event.
Registration for the NAAEI Career Fair is free. Prospective attendees need to register online at www.ApartmentCareers.com/careerfair-jobseeker, upload a resume, and schedule an interview with one or more of the companies participating in the event. The registration process allows job openings and specifications to be reviewed, prior to the event.
Both Lincoln Military Housing and their parent company Lincoln Property Company have purchased booths at the Career Fair. Lincoln Military Housing (LMH) is part of the San Diego host committee and has participated heavily in promoting the event, in the Southern California area, to active duty services members and their spouses. LMH employee and National Apartment Associate board member Sam Merrick has been instrumental in working with the NAAEI to develop this program and deliver opportunities to transitioning service members and military spouses.
National companies who wish to be present at the Career Fair must pay $1000 for their booth space. The National Apartment Association is donating 100% of all booth fees to two local military charities: REBOOT and Armed Services YMCA. Both of these charities work to support and assist transitioning military members and their families.
