FARGO, ND--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2013) - Noridian Administrative Services (NAS) has adopted a new name, Noridian Healthcare Solutions (Noridian), to better reflect the company's expanded business solutions in the new health care environment.
"Our new name better explains our ability to bring a broader range of services to our customers," said Tom McGraw, Noridian Healthcare Solutions CEO. "We're more than a claims administrator, and ready to help states, federal government and business meet the new challenges they face in health care information, systems and support. Noridian's capabilities have evolved from the complexity of health care delivery."
Since 1966, Noridian has been administering services for state and federal health care programs. While the company will continue to serve these government contracts, the name change reflects Noridian's expanded capabilities including:
- Broader and more robust administrative services;
- Care and delivery management solutions to increase patient care quality while decreasing cost;
- Program integrity offerings including medical review to reduce fraud and abuse;
- Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) solutions including development, support and ongoing administration for state and federal health insurance marketplaces; and,
- Utilization and analysis of health care data to drive business decision-making.
Beginning with a single federal Medicare contract in North Dakota, today Noridian serves as a major contractor serving 13.1 million beneficiaries in all 50 states and 290,000 health care providers. The company serves as the lead contractor building the technology platform for Maryland Health Connection, the state health benefit exchange. The company currently employs 1,100 across the U.S., and was recently awarded another Medicare contract that will double its federal business volume and result in up to 500 new jobs.
