The California Wine Club Reveals Its 2013 Holiday Winery Selections

Twelve Artisan Wineries and Their Wines Were Hand-Selected by Owners Bruce and Pam Boring to Ensure They Will Add Holiday Flavor to Any Celebration

CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2013) - The California Wine Club, America's most trusted wine club since 1990, named the 10 California artisan wineries that will be featured during the 2013 holiday season. These wineries represent some of the best small vintners in Sonoma, Mendocino, San Joaquin, Santa Barbara, and Napa counties, including the Stag's Leap District of Napa Valley. Also featured will be two international wineries from Argentina and Australia.

"The holiday selections are our most anticipated wines of the year. These wineries and their wines were hand-selected by us to ensure they reflect the essence of the holiday spirit," said Bruce and Pam Boring, owners of The California Wine Club. "We are delighted to bring these fabulous wines to our members and holiday gift recipients across the country."

Holiday winery selections include:

  • Premier Series: Pedroncelli Winery from Sonoma County, and Gnekow Family Winery from Lodi

  • Signature Series: Albertina Wine Cellars from Mendocino County, Renteria Wines, Stags Leap District Napa Valley, Ehret Family Winery, Sonoma County and Stone Pine Estate, Santa Barbara County

  • Aged Cabernet Series: Eight to ten year old Napa Valley Cabernets from Macauley Vineyards, Vin Roc Wine Caves, Joseph Phelps Vineyards and Burgess Cellars.

  • International Series: Groom Wines from Australia and Recuerdo Winery from Argentina

The California Wine Club uniquely brings handcrafted, artisan wines to its members each month along with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. There are four club levels to choose from: the Premier Series, the Signature Series for collectors and connoisseurs, the International Series featuring small wineries from around the world, and the Aged Cabernet Series featuring prestigious Napa Cabernets aged between eight and 12 years.

The California Wine Club

For years, Pam and Bruce Boring were frustrated trying to find truly great wine that wasn't bulk or private label. In 1990, they took matters into their own hands and start a wine club that was just like "one friend recommending a great bottle of wine to another friend." Now 23 years later, they travel wine country visiting smaller wineries and selecting every one of the 160 or so limited-production wines that The California Wine Club features each year.
