NSS Labs Expands Executive, Analyst and Testing Teams

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2013) - NSS Labs, Inc., the leader in test-based research and analysis of information security products, today announced several new additions to its fast-growing team. NSS is rapidly building out its executive, analyst and testing teams to add new strategic research and testing capabilities, such as breach detection (first public test results are currently planned for release August 2013), and cloud and virtualization solutions.

Joining the NSS team are:

• Jennifer Parker, CFO
• David DeSanto, Director of Technology
• Chris Morales, Research Director
• Iben Rodriguez, Director of Cloud and Virtual Testing

Jennifer Parker joins NSS as Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for all aspects of NSS Labs' corporate finance and administration functions. With over 20 years of strategic planning, financial management and global operations experience at organizations such as HP, 3Com, Apple and Arthur Andersen, she will also oversee the company's relationships with investors, accountants, bankers and legal advisers. Previously, Parker served as Vice President at Click Security responsible for financial planning and sales operations activities. Prior to that, she worked with HP as Director of Worldwide Sales Operations for its Enterprise Security Products Group and as Director of Finance with TippingPoint Technologies for six years through its period of rapid growth and ultimate acquisitions by 3Com and HP. Earlier in her career, Parker managed finance teams for Apple and worked at Arthur Andersen in the Strategic Valuation Services Group.

David DeSanto joins NSS as Director of Technology and will focus on driving innovation in the test methodologies and testing techniques that make NSS the world's leading information research and advisory company. With over 15 years of management, security testing, software development and strategic innovation experience, DeSanto is instrumental in promoting the highest quality of testing and research through the management of current commercial and strategic partnerships and the initiation of new partnerships. Prior to NSS, DeSanto served as the Chief Innovation Strategist at ICSA Labs.

Research Director Chris Morales has over 17 years of IT and information security experience and at NSS, his areas of research include mobile security, data security, vulnerability management, malware detection and host protection. Morales joins NSS from 451 Research where he was Senior Analyst, Enterprise Security. Morales has also held numerous technical and security architect roles at leading security companies such as Accuvant, McAfee and IBM Internet Security Systems.

Director of Cloud and Virtual Testing Iben Rodriguez is considered one of the foremost industry experts in cloud and enterprise security. Trained in Agile, ITIL, SOX, PCI-DSS and ISO27000, he develops and delivers both new architecture designs as well as assessments and remediation for existing environments. Rodriguez leads the NSS team responsible for industry-leading testing of secure cloud infrastructure solutions. Over the past 10 years, Rodriguez has assisted executive teams from both enterprise and government organizations in his roles as a cloud solution strategist and security architect at leading companies such as CA, VMware and eBay.
