EDGEWOOD, Md., July 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Smiths Detection's HazMatID Elite has won the Excellence in Design Gold Award at Appliance Design Magazine's 26th Annual Excellence in Design Awards. Elite is the next generation of Smiths Detection's HazMatID, the world's most widely used field-portable solid and liquid chemical identifier.

Appliance Design Magazine is a leading publication for design engineers in the global, commercial, and medical appliance/durable goods industry.
