ATLANTA, July 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. Security Associates (USA) announces the opportunity for ASIS members in Southern California to learn from a former ASIS International president what characteristics successful CSOs have in common. Ray O'Hara, CPP, is presenting "Ten Attributes of a CSO" at the ASIS International Greater Los Angeles Chapter's 1/2 Day Seminar at Sony Studios on July 31st.
Presently Executive Vice President of USA's International Services and Consulting and Investigations division, O'Hara is qualified to lead the CSO discussion by a lifetime of professional experience doing business with CSOs, working as a CSO himself, and serving as president of ASIS International. O'Hara's background is equal parts law enforcement veteran, corporate security manager, and contract security services executive. From supervising detective with the Los Angeles Police Department to corporate security manager for Fortune 500 firms Weyerhaeuser Company and GTE, to head of global consulting and investigations for some of the world's largest security companies, O'Hara's roles over the decades inform his unique perspective and understanding of fundamental CSO attributes.
O'Hara is one of several security professionals scheduled to speak at the seminar, including senior security executives with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The presentation topics include travel security, specifically managing corporate travelers to high risk countries, and managing security for major events.
Participants will earn 4 CPE credits for the seminar. Continental breakfast will be served during registration, from 8:00am to 8:30am. A deli lunch with a salad is also included in the enrollment cost of $50 per person. Register online at http://asislosangeles.org/Calendar.html.
